We offer four primary types of care:
Residential Care is the “full works”. The person moves into The Woodlands on a permanent basis. He or she has their own bedroom, plus use of all the facilities at The Woodlands, which include the sitting room, dining room and extensive gardens, all the services and the wide range of pastimes, entertainments and outings.
Fees include all meals and refreshments, laundry, and activities.
Day Care enables individuals to come and spend the day at The Woodlands, returning to their own home for the night.
The day resident would normally be dropped at The Woodlands after breakfast and collected after tea, which is late afternoon. Whilst there, he or she can enjoy all of the facilities and activities available to our permanent residents.
This facility not only provides the person with a change of scene and social interaction but is also helpful to carers who go to work, need a day to “catch up” on chores, or would benefit from some time to themselves.
Day care can be used occasionally or on a regular basis.
Respite Care enables an individual to move into The Woodlands on a temporary basis. Maybe this is to enable their family or carers to have a break, or maybe take a holiday. Whilst at The Woodlands, the respite resident enjoys all of the facilities and services available to our full-time residents.
We would normally expect Respite Care to be for a minimum of five days but are flexible to individual requirements.
Our staff are trained to care for those who suffer from Dementia.
